Selfie arm - see you your selfie with this arm

Walking around alone with a selfie stick is depressing. It’s basically proof that you either don't have a friend to take your photo, or that you're too embarrassed to ask a stranger to do so. But the Selfie Arm — a selfie stick that looks like a human arm — takes loneliness to a whole new level.
The Selfie Arm, as imagined by artists Aric Snee and Justin Crowe, is different from a regular selfie stick as it's designed to be in the photo (see image below), giving the impression that you're holding arms with someone.

This is what it looks like to have no friends at all.

That might work with an improved model. As it is, the cold, dead, grayish hue of the fake arm in your images will likely just make them very creepy.
Of course, the artists are well aware of that. The Selfie Arm is only a prototype, and, as Design Boom notes, a "sarcastic" commentary on our need to constantly show the internet that we exist.

The Selfie Arm is, thankfully, only a prototype at this point.

er-shrinking number of places, as selfie sticks (which we assume includes fake arms as well) have recently been banned in Wimbledon, Australian galleries and the Kentucky Derby, among other spots.
Have something to add to this story? ShEven if the Selfie Arm were a real product, you'd be able to carry it to an evare it in the comments.
