Google's iconic logo is changing

Google will soon look a whole lot different.
The company announced Tuesday it would be changing its iconic logo to one that "that reflects this reality and shows you when the Google magic is working for you, even on the tiniest screens," according to a statement.
Though the Mountain View company's logo has changed many times before, this update is the most significant change it has made yet. It uses a different font with thicker, more uniform, letters and slightly different colors. Google showcased the new, flatter, logo in its Google Doodle Tuesday.
Also introduced was a new four-color single "G" logo that will replace the blue and white lowercase "g" that appears on app icons and other products.
With the new change, Google has made it clear it's new logo is no longer a single static image. The company will also use animations, like those below, across its products like Chrome and Search. When initiating a voice search, for example, the logo will change into four colored lines and dots to correspond to when the app listening after the "Ok, Google," command and when it is searching.

These animations, which will show up throughout Google services and apps, are meant to be illustrative of how you are using them, Google says. The nee logo is already rolling out to Google Search on the web and will be coming to other products "soon."
