Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao: Twitter reacts to 'boring' victory for Mayweather

Floyd Mayweather won a unanimous verdict victory over Manny Pacquiao this morning in Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena, in a bout that is expected to smash viewership and revenue records.

Tickets for the fight are reported to have changed hands for as much as $350,000 and viewers in the UK paid £19.95 to watch the bout on Sky Box Office.

However, many spectators of the pay-per-view fight felt their money, and years of hype, had been somewhat wasted after Mayweather’s defensive display earned him the victory.

After the fight, Pacquiao himself said he thought he had beaten Mayweather, having been the more attacking fighter. However, as the scorecard read, Mayweather threw and landed more punches.
