Xiaomi Mi Note Black Edition launched, priced around $403

Earlier this year, Xiaomi launched the Mi Note and the Mi Note Pro in China. While the two smartphones were only launched in white color variants, today the Chinese company has launched a special black edition. The Mi Note Black Edition is essentially the same as the white variant, except the difference in color. The interesting bit here is that Xiaomi has tied up with Chinese pop star Zhang Jie, and buyers will get the music album for free along with the smartphone.
As mentioned above, the Black Edition is identical in terms of specifications. So in essence you get a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display, and Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor under the hood. The smartphone also features 3GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage, 13-megapixel primary camera with dual-LED flash, 4-megapixel selfie snapper and a 3,000mAh battery. On the software front, the Mi Note Black Edition runs on Android KitKat 4.4.4 KitKat wrapped under MIUI.
As for pricing, the smartphone will retail at 2,499 Yuan or Rs 27,000 approximately. There is still no word on when Xiaomi plans on launching the Mi Note in other markets. In the meantime, Xiaomi will be hosting a global smartphone launch in India on April 23.
