Sony Xperia C4 spotted in a new leak with a massive selfie camera and LED flash

Last year's Xperia C3 handset was dubbed as the selfie phone by Sony. Although it didn't exactly fly off the shelves, it was a significant smartphone for the manufacturer. It is now revealed that the company is working on a second generation variant of the handset, complete with a newer selfie camera accompanied by an LED flash.

The device has markings which suggest that it is dual SIM capable, which is almost a prerequisite for mid-range phones in the market today.

The handset is likely to run Android 5.0 Lollipop by default as the navigation keys seem to suggest. The Xperia C3 had a large 5.5-inch display panel, which makes it likely that the Xperia C4 will retain the size and form factor.

There's no word on the complete hardware specifications of the smartphone as of yet, but we're guessing it won't remain a secret for long considering that it's already making its way to the leaks.

Sony was said to have vowed off midrange phones in 2015, but that doesn't seem to be the case if these new leaks are anything to go by. Sony is expected to reveal the Xperia Z4 flagship over the coming months, so maybe we can expect the company to show off the Xperia C4 at about the same time.

Pricing of the handset will be very crucial if Sony wants to have any impact with its new offering. The smartphone market is crowded with low cost feature rich phones, so the company can't afford to strike out with regards to the pricing.
